Welcome to the MotoRev Community

MotoRev is more than an app—it's a community of passionate motorcycle riders from around the world. Our mission is to create a safe, supportive, and positive environment where riders can connect, share experiences, and grow together.

These Community Guidelines outline the behavior we expect from all members. By using MotoRev, you agree to follow these guidelines and help us maintain a respectful and welcoming community.

1. Respect and Kindness

Treat every member of the MotoRev community with respect, kindness, and empathy.

✅ Do:

• Be respectful and courteous in all interactions
• Celebrate diversity in riding styles, bikes, and experience levels
• Offer constructive feedback and helpful advice
• Welcome new riders and help them learn
• Use respectful language in posts, comments, and messages

❌ Don't:

• Engage in personal attacks, insults, or harassment
• Discriminate based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, or sexual orientation
• Use hateful, offensive, or derogatory language
• Shame riders for their bike choice, skill level, or riding style
• Engage in trolling, bullying, or targeted harassment

2. Safety First

✅ Do:

• Share tips for safe riding and accident prevention
• Post about proper safety gear and equipment
• Discuss defensive riding techniques
• Share educational content about motorcycle safety
• Report unsafe riding content you encounter

❌ Don't:

• Post videos or photos of reckless riding (wheelies on public roads, excessive speeding, stunts in traffic)
• Encourage street racing or illegal riding activities
• Glorify dangerous riding behaviors
• Share routes specifically for illegal street racing
• Promote riding without proper safety gear
• Use the app while actively operating a motorcycle

3. Authentic and Honest Content

Share genuine experiences, accurate information, and authentic content.

✅ Do:

• Post your own original photos, videos, and ride data
• Give credit when sharing others' content
• Provide accurate information in reviews and recommendations
• Be honest about sponsored content or affiliations
• Share real riding experiences and honest opinions

❌ Don't:

• Post fake ride data or manipulated statistics
• Impersonate other users or organizations
• Steal or claim others' content as your own
• Post misleading or false information
• Create fake reviews or ratings
• Use bots or automation to inflate engagement

4. Appropriate Content

Keep content motorcycle-related, family-friendly, and appropriate for all ages.

✅ Allowed Content:

• Motorcycle photos, videos, and ride stories
• Bike builds, maintenance tips, and modifications
• Route recommendations and travel experiences
• Gear reviews and safety equipment discussions
• Event announcements and group ride planning
• Motorcycle-related memes and humor (when appropriate)

❌ Prohibited Content:

• Nudity, sexually explicit content, or pornography
• Graphic violence, gore, or disturbing imagery
• Illegal activity or promotion of illegal substances
• Spam, scams, or fraudulent schemes
• Commercial solicitation without permission
• Political or religious propaganda
• Personal information (doxxing) about others

5. Privacy and Personal Information

Respect the privacy of all community members.

✅ Do:

• Keep personal conversations private
• Respect others' privacy settings and boundaries
• Ask permission before sharing photos that include other people
• Use privacy controls to manage who sees your content

❌ Don't:

• Share others' personal information (phone numbers, addresses, email)
• Post screenshots of private messages without consent
• Track or stalk other users using location data
• Share intimate or sensitive information about others

6. Intellectual Property

Respect copyright, trademarks, and intellectual property rights.

✅ Do:

• Only post content you own or have permission to use
• Credit photographers and content creators
• Report copyright violations you encounter
• Respect MotoRev's brand and trademarks

❌ Don't:

• Post copyrighted images, videos, or music without permission
• Use MotoRev's logo or branding without authorization
• Sell or redistribute content from MotoRev
• Infringe on others' intellectual property rights

7. Commercial Activity

Limited commercial activity is allowed within the community guidelines.

✅ Allowed:

• Sharing photos of your motorcycle business or shop (occasional)
• Posting about motorcycle events you're organizing
• Recommending products you genuinely use and love
• Participating in official MotoRev partner programs

❌ Not Allowed:

• Excessive self-promotion or spam
• Unsolicited direct messages with sales pitches
• Pyramid schemes or multi-level marketing
• Fake giveaways or contests
• Buying/selling stolen goods or illegal items

8. Reporting and Moderation

Help us keep MotoRev safe by reporting violations and cooperating with moderators.

How to Report:

• Use the "Report" button on any post, comment, or profile
• Provide detailed information about the violation
• Email safety@motorev.app for urgent safety concerns
• Report accounts that repeatedly violate guidelines

Our Moderation Process:

• All reports are reviewed by our moderation team
• We may remove content that violates guidelines
• Warnings are issued for first-time minor violations
• Repeated violations may result in account suspension or permanent ban
• Severe violations (threats, illegal activity) result in immediate bans

9. Consequences of Violations

Violating these Community Guidelines may result in the following actions:

First Offense (Minor Violations):

• Warning message from moderators
• Content removal
• Educational resources about guidelines

Repeated Offenses:

• Temporary account suspension (7-30 days)
• Restriction of certain features (posting, commenting)
• Removal from groups or events

Severe Violations:

• Immediate permanent account ban
• Reporting to law enforcement (illegal activity)
• IP address ban to prevent new account creation

10. Appeals Process

If you believe your content was removed or account was suspended in error:

1. Review these Community Guidelines to understand the violation
2. Email appeals@motorev.app with:
   • Your username and account email
   • Description of the moderation action taken
   • Explanation of why you believe it was in error
3. Our team will review your appeal within 5-7 business days
4. You will receive a response via email with our decision

Note: Appeals for severe violations (threats, illegal activity, doxxing) will not be considered.

11. Changes to These Guidelines

We may update these Community Guidelines as our platform and community evolve. Significant changes will be communicated through:

• In-app notifications
• Email to registered users
• Announcement posts in the community feed

Continued use of MotoRev after changes constitutes acceptance of updated guidelines.
